Where our data comes from and the rules it follows.
Official sources
Singapore government datasets — hawker centre lists, locations and cleaning closure dates — form the backbone of the atlas.
Manual verification
On-site visits confirm stall numbers, menus, prices and opening hours. Records verified this way carry a manual-visit source.
Community submissions
Users can submit corrections, photos and missing stalls. Every submission is moderated before it appears, with a full audit trail.
Photo licence policy
Every photo requires a licence and attribution. We do not use scraped or copyrighted images; unlicensed uploads are rejected in moderation.
Translation policy
Chinese translations aim for the name actually used on signboards, not literal machine output. AI-assisted drafts are reviewed before being marked verified.
Report wrong information
Every page has a “submit a correction” action. Corrections go straight into the moderation queue.
